Compass are delighted to announce the signing of 17 new mega-cineplex developments with muvi Cinemas, a wholly owned and operated Saudi Arabian cinema brand.
After the 35-year ban on cinemas in Saudi Arabia was overturned in 2017, there was a rush to gain first-mover-advantage, evident by imported film and entertainment brands making their move into the Kingdom. Compass was selected to take on the delivery of the pioneering roll-out of cinemas into the country, delivering the country’s first mega-cineplexes and entertainment centers.
muvi Cinemas, owned and operated by The Next Generation Company, has decided to take their time in refining their product to be the best in class, rather than rush into the cinema-opportunity market, with major investments in creating a brand, user experience and truly iconic Saudi trademark, aligned to the country’s vision.
Having shaped our reputation as the go-to Project and Cost Management partners, for seamless project delivery within the leisure and entertainment sectors, Compass was the obvious choice for the muvi Team, aligned to their overall vision in order to bring together the best in business, in order to provide the best service to their audiences.
Utilizing Compass expertise in connected coordination, the KSA Compass Team will be progressing developments, aligning the various consultants, specialty global suppliers, and multiple contractors throughout the project lifecycle, covering planning, design management, project and cost management.
